English Teachers - From India to UAE - Middle East

Are you a English teacher currently teaching in India?

Worldteachers are working closely in partnership with the public schools in the United Arab Emirates and their education reform programme. We are helping them recruit experienced English Teachers from India to teach in one of the following Emirates - Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Dubai, Umm Al Quwain, and Abu Dhabi.

The project is intended to increase student engagement and to improve the standard of English within the UAE public schools. Teachers will be expected to teach at secondary school level (grades 8-12, ages 14-18).

Start dates are available throughout 2019.

Interviews will take place in New Delhi on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 March and in Mumbai on Sunday 31 March and Monday 1 April. Please note this employer will not conduct Skype interviews.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English
  • A teaching qualification is necessary
  • Applications are invited from fresh graduate teachers through to more experienced teachers

The Ministry of Education for UAE will only interview candidates for English teaching positions who meet the following requirements:

  • Candidates who have a valid IELTS certificate with Academic 7 or General 7.5 bands
  • Candidates who have an IELTS certificate from the past 3-5years, which shows they have achieved the necessary band of Academic 7 or General 7.5 bands
  • Candidates who are awaiting results from a recently IELTS test. Proof that the candidate has recently completed the test will be required.

Salary:

  • Total Salary is AED 16,000 (c. INR3,09,000) per month -tax-free.
  • This is the total figure paid - you have to pay for living allowances and rent.

Other benefits paid include flights and medical cover for teacher, spouse, and up to 3 dependants, and an end-of-contract bonus.
